The footprints of Bryan Nash Gill

The WoodCut series by artist Bryan Nash Gill was made from the inked print of cut-up tree trunks. These impressions highlight the complexity of the forms, almost mathematical, the fineness of the lines and the texture of the wood that becomes purely graphic. Like a fingerprint, each impression becomes individual, revealing a personality, a sensitivity to the skin.

Bryan Nash Gill was born, lives and works in New Hartford, Connecticut. After obtaining an art degree from Tulane University and a master’s degree at the California College of Art in Oakland, he returned to his favorite place, New England, where he drew his inspiration, among other things. Present on the international art scene in private and public collections, he exhibits regularly in numerous galleries in the United States.

Bryan Nash Gill is represented in Paris by the gallery Rauchfeld.
