Seascapes' timelessness by Hiroshi Sugimoto
With these sea landscapes that spill out of the frame, subtle variations of the water surface, more or less distinct horizons, Hiroshi Sugimoto’s photographs question timelessness. For over 30 years, the Japanese photographer has travelled the world, feeding his Seascapes series, which was the object of an eponymous book published by Xavier Barral in October 2015, collecting many original images.
North Atlantic Ocean, Cliffs of Moher, 1989 photography of the Seascapes serie has been published in the Miscellanea pages of Cercle Magazine #5: Oceans.
