City of Dreams by Zaha Hadid

City of Dreams is a 40-storey hotel designed by Zaha Hadid Architects for the city of Macao in China. The project, launched in 2013, is expected to be completed in 2017. The tower will provide 150,000 square meters of space for approximately 780 rooms, suites and villas.

The aspect of this architecture is surprising: the rectangular outline is composed of voids and solid crossing the tower and an external structure to dress the facade. Zaha Hadid reflected it as an exoskeleton or a metal-framed shell to reinforce and energize the overall design. The interior of the building is spectacular, especially thanks to the entrance to the 40 meter high atrium.
