Sensitive work from Kaarina Kaikkonen

Artist Kaarina Kaikkonen from Helsinki in Finland is one of the major artists of Scandinavia. Throught her monumental work – strongly imfluenced by the environmental and architectural elements surrounding her pieces – there is a strong link to the impermanence and frailty of materials pointing back to the human beings own disapearance.

Kaarina Kaikkonen offers a very sensible and subtile work which gives costume a new function, a new place and allow it to speak about the absence, memory and the future of humanity.

Her work has been awarded several times and has been exhibited all around the world in various countries such as Italy, USA, Spain or China… Her exhibition We Share A Dream is currently held at Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, USA.
