Essy May's colorful and referenced drawings

Essy May is an English graphic artist and designer based in London. His colorful illustrations evoke a whole nostalgic universe linked to the SF culture and its retro imagery of the 80s.

The color range used by Essy May -Violet, pink, blue, green – sometimes refers to a dream world, sometimes to a psychedelic debauchery in which references to the B-series, encounters of the third type or occult symbols crystallized in a specific drawing graphite. The illustrator combines masterfully her many references and tells stories of possible futures in her strange, codified and frankly cinematographic images.

The artist was spotted by the magazine Juxtapoz and is represented by the agency STEM. His work is also proposed by the site Kuvva which brings together the best of the current illustration.
