Emily Stein explores the rite of passage from childhood to adulthood

British photographer Emily Stein studied fine arts. She is now an award-winning fashion and portrait photographer, as well as a filmmaker. She takes a documentary approach that brings a sense of intimacy, reality and honesty to her subjects. Emily Stein is obsessed with colour, tone and light. Her work is playful and celebratory. She has worked on a wide range of commercial and editorial projects including magazines such as Dazed, Vice, Creative Review, The Guardian Weekend Magazine, The Economist, Riposte, The Huffington Post, The Washington Post, The NY Post in which she infuses the same warmth as in her personal work.
