Animated poems by Yukai Du

Yukai Du comes from Guangzhou (China). Graduated from the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, she lives and works today in London. Her artworks are a mix between flat images and animation. The gifs presented are a first series of ten images entitled “Volume 1”. Yukai Du sees those experiences as short, colorful visual poems. Each scene is a moment of reflection that seems extracted from a dream, from a poet’s imagination or from a senseless thought.

Yukai Du has worked for many clients, including Adobe, the BBC, The New York Times, and the Washington Post.
