Simen Johan

Simen Johan is a contemporary photographer born in 1973 in Norway. He has been living in New York since 1992 and his photographic work is recognized throughout the world. Like many of his Scandinavian compatriots, he devotes a deep fascination to nature, which he has tried to express since 2003, in singular animal series. He has traveled the western and tropical forests, meadows, deserts and valleys to produce a veritable succession of amazing portraits. Simen Johan seems to have a real gift to freeze the moment, and we delight in his photos. The only real question that persists in view of these sophisticated images is how the artist succeeded in having his models laid down.
